April 1: Eastview Trail Ashland Watershed

April 8: Upper Table Rock hike leader:  Leslie  
TH:  From Ashland take I5 to Exit 33 towards Eagle Point. Turn right onto East Pine Street, left onto Table Rock Road for 5.2 miles, turn right onto Modoc Road for 1.5 miles then left into the trailhead parking lot. EDT: 35 min.
Description:  follow the improved rerouted trail to the top of the mesa, then continue on the Pumice Lane trail towards the pointy white FFA VHF-VOR beacon, follow the access road NW to the “frog pond” where we can stop for lunch. There should be a variety of Spring flowers, vernal pools and possibly mud. The trail can have standing water and be slick in spots. Distance 7.5-8 miles; elevation gain 800 feet. April 15: Enchanted Forest/Felton Memorial Trail (p. 3 Favorite Hikes of the Applegate)  Hike leader: Leslie
TH: Thru Jacksonville and take Highway 238 towards Applegate for 15 miles. Just before downtown Applegate and the bridge, make a right onto North Applegate Road for 4.5 miles to a right on Kubli Road for 400' and then right on Slagle Creek Road for 1.5 miles to the pavement end at the TH. EDT: 60 minutes. Description: Take the Enchanted Forest trail to the side trail to visit the Felton Memorial. Return to the Enchanted Forest trail and take it up to the road for lunch with a spectacular view of the Applegate Valley and the Red Buttes. Distance: 8 miles. Climbing: 1,800'.  Weather forecast . RT mileage: 80 miles.

April 22: East Applegate Ridge: Hike leader: Nanci
TH: Continue thru Jacksonville on Highway 238 past Milepost 29 and Forest Creek Road (on the right) for another 1/2 mile to a small sign on the left "East Applegate Ridge Trail" near 5091 Highway 238 for the TH parking area.  EDT: 40 minutes. We will do an up and back of 10.5 miles with about 1,900' gain. Exceptional views.  Weather forecast. RT mileage: 70 miles

April 29: Stein Butte (p. 149 in 100 Hikes in Southern Oregon  Leave at 8:30 AM  Hike Leader: Leslie
TH: Past Applegate Lake to the T, left on Elliot Creek Road for 0.9 mile and make a left just past the bridge into the parking area for the Seattle Bar TH. EDT 60 minutes. Description: Steady up to a ridge crest for spectacular views of the Siskiyous and then on to the Stein Butte summit, site of an old fire lookout. Distance 9 miles.  2,400' elevation gain.  Weather forecast. RT mileage 90 miles.
