Leave from the Rite Aid parking lot on Ashland Street promptly at 9:00 AM unless otherwise indicated. Bring water, lunch, hat, sun-screen, insect repellent and rain gear as appropriate. April 7: Red Queen - Ashland Watershed Meet at the Trail Head at 9:00 AM. Carpooling encouraged due to limited parking at reservoir. TH: From Rite Aid head west on Ashland Street, bear right on Siskiyou Boulevard, at the light just past Triangle park turn left on Morton, then a quick right on Iowa up to the top, left on Terrace up to the reservoir to the left on Waterline. EDT: 10 minutes. Hike Description: Lower Red Queen to Bandersnatch, to Upper Red Queen, to Ashland Loop Road. Return down Upper Red Queen to Gryphon, up Gryphon to Bandersnatch, to Lower Red Queen, to Reservoir. Estimated 6 miles with Elevation gain of approximately 1,400 ft. Weather forecast. RT mileage: NA. Wine and Cheese at the Kerr Manor afterwards, approximately 2:00 PM. Members of the group unable to make the hike are also invited, Spouses, etc. included.
