July 5: Lake Siskiyou Trail Leave at 8:00 AM. New Hike.
TH: South on I-5 for 72.2 miles to the Central Mount Shasta Exit 738. Right onto West Lake Street to Hatchery Lane to a left onto South Old Stage Road for 0.2 miles to a slight right onto West A. Barr Road to the TH. EDT: 1:30.

July 12: Azalea Lake Hike Leave at 8:30 AM.
TH: Take Hwy 238 from Jacksonville to Thomson Rd (13 miles). Turn left and go 13 miles on pavement to where it becomes Carberry Creek Road. After 3 miles of dirt road turn right on Rd 1030, then 5 miles later turn left on Rd 400. There will be a sign pointing left for Fir Glade. In 4 1/2 miles Rd 400 continues straight as 1040/700. In another 1/4 mile Rd 850 (a bit rough) turns right up the hill (There is a blank sign the shape of a little house). 850 ends in 1/4 mile at a large trailhead parking area. The 955 trail goes straight past Fir Glade to an intersection with trail 906 about 2 miles out. 906 goes right to Sucker Gap. Continue straight on 955 2 1/2 miles to Azalea lake. Distance 10 miles. Moderate elevation change. Weather forecast. RT mileage: 120 miles.
July 19: PCT from Cook & Green Pass to Echo Lake and towards Lilly Pad Lake (p. 160 in 100 Hikes) Meet at 8:00 AM
TH: Past Applegate Lake to the T. Left on Elliot Creek Road / NF-1050 for 2.1 miles. Right on NF-1055 for 9.8 miles to the TH at Cook & Green Pass. High clearance vehicles recommended. EDT: 1:45. Description: Hike on the PCT to the ridge above Echo Lake for a nice lunchtime view down to the Lake. Continue past Echo Lake towards Lilly Pad Lake for huge additional views. Turn around before the Lake or continue down to the Lake. Elevation gain about 2,000 feet spread out gradually over the hike. 7.1 miles return to the turnaround or 8.1 miles to Lilly Pad Lake and back. Weather Forecast. RT mileage: 120 miles
July 26: Boundary Springs in Crater Lake N.P. (p. 59 in 101 Hikes)
TH: Take Highway 62 to the junction with Highway 230. Continue on Highway 230 for 18 miles to the Crater Rim Viewpoint parking area. EDT: 90 minutes. This round trip hike to the headwaters of the Rogue River at Boundary Springs is an easy, fairly flat, 5 miles. After the hike we will drop by Crater Lake via the North Entrance. Climbing 200'.
