Leave from the Rite Aid parking lot on Ashland Street promptly at 9:00 AM unless otherwise indicated. Bring water, lunch, hat, sun-screen, insect repellent and rain gear as appropriate. In winter, bring layers. TH = trailhead; EDT = estimated drive time; RT = round trip mileage; PCT = Pacific Crest Trail; DIM = Dead Indian Memorial Highway.  Vaccination against COVID19 is required. September 3: Upper Rogue River Trail: Rogue Gorge to Natural Bridge
TH: Take Highway 62 towards Crater Lake and make a left into the parking lot at Rogue River Gorge Viewpoint just past Becky's Cafe. EDT: 1:20.
Description: Follow the river downstream and cross Union Creek and turn right to the Bridge to Nowhere. Cross the Rogue and continue on the other side to Natural Bridge. Lunch at Natural Bridge and then return via the Union Creek Trail which starts at the parking. Distance: 7 miles; 800 feet in ascents. Weather forecast. RT driving mileage: 140 miles.

September 10: Crater Lake Garfield Peak & Flower Hike - 
TH: Drive to parking behind the Lodge. EDT: 2 hours. Description: Ascend Garfield Peak. Return to cars and do a flower hike near Park Headquarters on the rim road. Do the rim road, stopping at various view points. Lunch location according to timing. Weather forecast. RT mileage: 220 miles.

September 17: Seven Mile Marsh to Cliff Lake New Hike. Meet at 8:00 AM 
TH: Up DIM to Highway 140. Right on Highway 140 for 5.9 miles to a left on West Side Road. North on West Side Road for 16.8 miles to the sweeping right curve where West Side Road becomes 7 Mile Road. Continue and take the next 2 lefts. Enter a wooded Area and look for signs to Seven Mile marsh, the second right turn. The road numbers are confusing but there are signs for Seven Mile Marsh. Jog right and continue north on NF-3334 / NF-3134 for 5.8 miles to the Seven Mile hikers TH. EDT: 1:45. Description: A nice forest hike for 2 miles to the PCT. Left on PCT then descend right at sign for Seven Lakes Continue past several lakes to intersection with Seven Lakes Trail then right for a hundred yards to Cliff Lake. Return to intersection but continue straight to PCT. Left on PCT to right turn back to TH. Well signed.  Terrific view hike with not much ascent. Distance: 10 miles. Elevation gain: 1,300 feet. Weather forecast.  RT mileage: 140 miles.

September 24: No hike
