Leave from the Rite Aid parking lot on Ashland Street promptly at 9:00 AM unless otherwise indicated. Bring water, lunch, hat, sun-screen and rain gear. May 4: Hyatt Lake to Greensprings Summit
TH: From Rite Aid take Highway 66 15.1 miles to Greensprings Summit and leave a shuttle car. Continue on another 1.8 miles to a left at Greensprings Inn onto East Hyatt Lake Road for 3 miles to the PCT crossing. EDT: 45 minutes. Description: Walk along the PCT thru flower-filled woods and meadows. Stop for pictures at Little Hyatt Lake. Lunch at the 21 man log. Big views of Emigrant Lake and Mount Ashland. Distance: 7.4 miles; elevation gain: 1,200 feet. Weather forecast. RT mileage: 50 miles.

May 11: Greensprings Summit to Hobart Bluff RT
TH: Drive Highway 66 to the PCT crossing at Greensprings Summit EDT: 45 minutes. Description: Trail is mostly in the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument; go south on the PCT to “Hobart Bluff Viewpoint” sign; turn right 0.3 mile to top of bluff; enjoy lunch and 360 degree views, then return the same way. Distance: 7 miles; elevation gain: 1,500 feet; Weather forecast. RT driving mileage: 40 miles.

May 18: Union Creek to Natural Bridge and Back (p.94 in 100 Hikes)Leave at 8:30 AM Hike Leader: Rich Stickle
TH: Take Highway 62 north from Medford towards Union Creek. Visit the Mill Creek and Barr Creek Falls near Prospect on the way. Park in the lot just before Becky's on the left. EDT: 2 hours including the stop at the falls.
Description: Follow Union Creek down to its junction with the Rogue River. Make a left and follow the Rogue down to the Bridge to Nowhere. Cross the river and follow the trail on the west side down to Natural Bridge. Cross back across the Rogue, lunch at the Natural Bridge TH and then head back to Union Creek on the trail on the east side of the river. Distance: 7 miles; elevation gain: 500 feet. Weather forecast. RT mileage: 150 miles

May 25-26: Crescent Ciy Overnight
TH: Monday morning drive to Crescent City. We will be staying at the Curly Redwood Lodge the night of May 25th, where we will have a group of rooms reserved in John Kerr's name for the Ashland Hiking Group. Please make your own reservation at 707-464-2137 and confirm your reservation and/or attendance with John. Hikes will include day 1: Coastal hike to the Mouth of the Klamath and Day 2: Whale Beach to Thomson Bridge. Weather forecast
