Leave from the Rite Aid parking lot on Ashland Street promptly at 9:00 AM unless otherwise indicated. Bring water, lunch, hat, sun-screen and rain gear. March 4: Oredson-Todd Woods to Lithia Park. Leave at 9:30 AM Hike Leader: Rich Stickle.
TH: From the Rite Aid parking lot drive up Tolman Creek Road about a mile. Turn right onto Green Meadows. Turn left on Lupine to Oredson Todd Woods parking. Description: Follow trail into the woods. Take the bridge in front of the water fall up out of the woods to the right. Follow the trail around to the White Rabbit TH and past it until the trail becomes upper Park Street. Down Park to left onto the TID canal trail. Take the TID trail past Walker Ave. When trail access ends take bridge to left up steps to road. Turn right onto the road (Pinecrest Terrace). Continue to intersection of Woodland. Turn left on Pinecrest and follow it around the gorge to Elkader. Go down Elkader to left on Ivy Lane. Up Ivy, cross Mountain Avenue continue on Ivy to driveway at end on right, down driveway and into woods. This is Liberty Street Park.
Follow trail around to right then left to exit the woods out driveway to Morton Street. Cross Morton to Waterline Road follow Waterline through neighborhood and up to Ashland Loop Road. Right on Ashland Loop Road cross Terrace Avenue short jog to left then right down Ashland Loop Road. Past Happy Horse Farm take foot path by fence to left down hill to Glenview. Take Glenview to left and down to Lithia Park entrance behind the swimming reservoir. Follow trail through park to plaza for lunch. Take RVTD bus (departs every 20 minutes and costs $1) to Bi-Mart stop then back to Rite Aid parking lot. Distance: 5 Miles. Elevation Gain: 400 feet. RT Mileage 0. Weather forecast

March 11: Lower Rogue River Trail: Grave Creek to Whiskey Creek RT (100 Hikes, p. 199)leave at 8:30
TH: Take I-5 north to Merlin (Exit 60); drive thru Merlin and follow Galice Road 19 miles to far side of Grave Creek bridge; turn left downhill to the boat ramp parking area and the TH; EDT: 90 minutes.
Description: Follow north rim of Rogue River canyon past Rainie Falls to Whiskey Creek; return the same way. Distance: 7 miles; elevation gain: 1,270 ft. Weather forecast RT driving mileage: 140 miles.

March 18: Lost Creek Lake (west shore) RT Hike Leader: Rich Stickle
TH: Take Highway 62 to Lost Creek Lake; turn left onto Takelma Road at “Fish Hatchery” sign; Drive to end of paved road and continue on gravel road about 2.5 miles (4.5 miles from Highway 62). Pass the Cross Creek campground and continue until you see a trail on the right coming up where the land beside the lake suddenly disappears and there is no place for a trail. There is a red marker on the sign. Continue a short distance to where you see a small road going up the hill to the left and just beyond it the well-marked Rogue River Trail to the right. EDT: 75 minutes. Description: Follow the trail along the Lake to left turn sign for the Blue Grotto and go left about 200 yards to the Grotto. With all of the rain and snow we have had lately the falls should be in full flow. Return by same trail. Distance: 7.5 miles: Elevation gain 750 ft. Weather forecast. RT mileage: 100 miles.

March 25: Lost Creek Lake - Stewart State Park Boat Launch to Hole in the Ground Falls
TH: Take Crater Lake Highway / SR62 past Lost Creek Lake and over Peyton Bridge to leave a shuttle car at the Lewis Road TH on the left. Return to Stewart Park and follow the signs to the boat launch area and park. EDT: 1 hour. Description: follow the trail along the lake to the bridge over the Rogue.  Cross the river and then under the bridge and head NE to the Hole in the Ground Falls for lunch. Return to the shuttle car.  Distance: 6 miles; elevation gain about 600 feet. Weather forecast. RT mileage: 100 miles.
