After lunch at the dam we return a mile or two to the road and the shuttle car. Note: The area is controlled by the Corp of Engineers who were to have built a huge dam, creating  a lake to compliment Applegate Lake and Lost Creek Lake. This was a result of the Great Flood of 1964 and those who have done the Lower Rogue Hike have seen the high water mark, the height of which is hard to believe. A third of the dam was completed before the project was cancelled.  Weather forecast. RT mileage: 110 miles.
