February 5 : Hike the Bear Creek Greenway from Ashland to Phoenix
Meet at 9:30 A. M. at Rite Aid: Proceed to the Parking on the right past Valley View on Hwy 99:
Description: Stroll the Bear Creek Greenway to Blue Heron Park in Phoenix where we will have lunch at La Tapatia before returning to Ashland on the bus. Remember to bring lunch money and bus fare ($1.00 for people over 62, $2.00 for the kids). Distance: about 7 miles; elevation gain: about 300 feet. Weather forecast. RT mileage: 0 miles.

February 12: Lower Rogue River Trail: Grave Creek to Whiskey Creek RT (100 Hikes, p. 199)leave at 8:30
TH: Take I-5 north to Merlin (Exit 60); drive thru Merlin and follow Galice Road 19 miles to far side of Grave Creek bridge; turn left downhill to the boat ramp parking and the TH; EDT: 90 min.
Description: Follow north rim of Rogue River canyon past Rainie Falls to Whiskey Creek; return same way. Distance: 7 miles; elevation gain: 1,270 feet Weather forecast RT driving mileage: 140 miles.

February 19: Hike the Greenway from Phoenix to Medford
Meet at 9:30 A. M. at Rite Aid Hike Leader: Rich Stickle.
TH: Head north on I-5 to Exit 21, Talent. Left towards Talent and then right on Highway 99 for 2.3 miles to the Blue Heron Park on the right. EDT: 15 minutes. Description: Stroll the Bear Creek Greenway from Phoenix to Medford where we will have lunch at the Common Block Brewing Company before returning to Phoenix on the bus. Remember to bring lunch money and bus fare ($1.00 for people over 62, $2.00 for the kids). Distance: about 6 miles; elevation gain: about 300 feet. Weather forecast. RT mileage: 30 miles.

February 26: Hike the Bear Creek Greenway from Medford to Central Point Leave at 9:30 Hike leader: Rich Stickle
TH: Take I-5 north to Medford Exit 27. Turn right onto Highland Drive and at the traffic circle take the 3rd exit onto Siskiyou Boulevard. Continue onto East 10th Street and then left onto East Main Street to the park. The group will hike the last section of the Bear Creek Greenway from Hawthorne Park in Medford to its end in Central Point. After a visit to the Rogue Creamery we will lunch at The Point on Pine Street. Distance: 7 miles. Generally flat. Weather forecast RT mileage: 40 miles. This hike replaced the originally scheduled Summit Sno-Park Snowshoe which was canceled due to too much snow.
