April 3: Crater Lake Snowshoe - Leaving Rite Aid at 8:30 AM
TH: Rim Village Cafe parking lot, Crater Lake NP; EDT: 2 hours. Description: Follow the rim of the lake in a clockwise direction for splendid views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Return the same way. Don't forget your sunglasses and sun block. Safety first: please stay behind the tree line to avoid dropping off a cornice into the caldera. April 10: Upper Table Rock
TH: Follow Table Rock Road (off Biddle Rd in Central Point) for 5.2 mi; turn right on Modoc Road for 1.5 mi to trailhead parking area; EDT: 45 min.
Description: Follow the trail to the top of the mesa, then walk along Meadowlark Lane past the radar station to the Sam’s Valley overlook; return to the frog pond for lunch.

From Rite Aid head north on I-5 to North Medford Exit 30, Crater Lake Highway. From Exit 30 head up Highway 62 for 25 miles to a left onto Elk Creek Road. We'll take it slow up Elk Creek Road as we look for the view of the notched dam. Then head back up the main road about 9 miles to Homesteader's TH. Here we'll explore upper Elk Creek Park and follow the trail down the creek 2 hours until lunch then head back to our parking spot. Enjoyable and new walk along Elk Creek. Weather forecast. April 24: Lost Creek Lake (west shore) RT (p. 88 in 100 Hikes)
TH: Take Hwy 62 to Lost Creek Lake; just before the dam, turn left onto Takelma Rd. at “Fish Hatchery” sign; drive to end of paved road and continue on gravel road to Takelma Park Rd. (about 1 mile past the turnoff to the boat ramp); EDT: 75 min.
Description: Drop down to the Lost Creek Lake trail at Four Corners campground, turn left, and follow it to our usual lunch bench; return the same way.
