Leave from the former Haggen’s parking lot in Ashland promptly at 9:00 AM unless otherwise indicated. Bring water, lunch, hat, sun-screen and rain gear. March 7: Lost Creek Lake (North Shore) (100 Hikes, p.88)
TH: Drive 35.5 mi on Hwy 62; turn left on Lewis Rd 1 mi to TH; EDT: 60 min. Description: “generally level”, pretty trail through the woods along the north shore of Lost Creek Lake; a short detour to see the Blue Grotto is an option for those who haven’t been there; return the same way
Distance: 7 mi RT; elev. gain: about 500 ft.  Weather forecast. RT mileage: 100 mi 

March 14: Hike Changed Due to Weather
Instead of hiking at Applegate Lake we will do one of the local hikes in the vicinity of Ashland: Bear Creek Greenway to Talent with return by bus; White Rabbit - Bandersnatch loop; Ashland city streets ramble, but without a stop for hot chocolate at the Maksymowicz residence.  We can decide which one when we meet in the former Haggen's parking lot in the morning.  If the weather forecast has changed, we might even opt to do the scheduled hike at Applegate Lake.
No matter what, do bring your rain gear.

March 21: Rogue River Trail, east from Peyton Bridge to Hurd Creek (p. 88 in 100 Hikes—last paragraph)
TH: From Medford drive 35.5 mi on Hwy 62; turn left on Lewis Rd to Peyton Bridge TH parking area (east end of Lost Creek Lake); EDT: 60 min
Description: Follow undulating trail along the north shore of the Rogue River to the second of two impressive waterfalls; return same way. 
Distance: 6.5 miles RT; total elev. gain: 1000 ft. Weather Forecast. RT mileage: 100 mi 

March 28: Jacksonville Woodlands Trail System (100 Hikes, p. 150)
TH: City parking lot in Jacksonville behind post office; EDT: 30 minutes
Description: check out early spring flowers on this jaunt along the Jacksonville trail system, finishing up on the Beekman Woods trail.  Drive back to Ashland for lunch.
Distance: 5.5 miles; elev. gain 1100 feet. Weather forecast. RT mileage: 35 miles
