Leave from the Safeway parking lot in Ashland at 9:00 AM unless otherwise indicated. Bring water, lunch, hat, sunscreen and rain gear as appropriate. June 4: East Boulder Lake - (p. 232 in 100 Hikes) New hike. Meet at 8:00 AM.
TH: South on I-5 to Yreka Exit 773 and take Highway 3 for 39 miles through Fort Jones and Etna to Callahan. Right in Callahan (behind the Emporium Saloon) on South Fork Road for 0.7 miles then straight on McKeen Road (40N17) for 2.3 miles to the McKeen Divide. Left (SE) on 39N63 (Boulder) for 2.9 miles, left on 39N10 for 1.2 miles and right (SE but not a uey) on 39N66 for 0.8 miles to the TH. EDT: 1:45. Description: Jim W. hiked this in March and highly recommends it. Beautiful hike in the Scott Mountains of the Trinity Alps Wilderness past East Boulder Lake and several smaller alpine lakes / ponds with views of Craggy Peak, Mt. Shasta, Mt. Eddy, Scott Valley and the Russian Wilderness. Distance: 9 miles. Climbing: 2,500'. Weather forecast. RT mileage: 180 miles.

June 11: High Lakes-Fish Lake Trail from Fish Lake to Lake of the Woods (p. 122 in 101 Hikes)
TH: Take DIM to the Lake of the Woods Resort and drop the shuttle car. Then up to Highway 140 and west for 5.9 miles to the Fish Lake Resort. Park in the Doe Point campground parking lot. There may be a $5 day use fee for parking at each end. EDT: 60 minutes. Hike from Fish Lake eastward over Brown Mountain to the Lake of the Woods Resort. Insect repellent may be useful. Distance: 9 miles; elevation gain: 1,000 feet. Weather Forecast. RT mileage: 100 miles

June 18: Union Creek Trail (p.88 in 100 Hikes) Meet at 8:30 am
Hike Leader: Margita LaGrotta.
TH: Take Highway 62 north from Medford to Union Creek; EDT: 90 minutes. Description: This is a scenic, "generally level", 4-mile trail along a lovely brook. Distance: 8.2 miles; elevation gain: 600 feet. Weather Forecast. RT mileage: 150 miles.

June 25: PCT from Cook & Green Pass to Lilly Pad Lake (p. 150 in 100 Hikes)
TH: Past Applegate Lake to the T. Left on Elliot Creek Road / NF-1050 for 2.1 miles. Right on NF-1055 for 9.8 miles to the TH at Cook & Green Pass. High clearance vehicles recommended. EDT: 90 minutes. Description: Follow the PCT west along the crest with views of the Red Buttes, Mt. Shasta and the Klamath River Basin along with the Marble Mountains. Return via the old mining road and Bee Camp Spring. Distance: 8.5 miles; elevation gain about 2,000 feet. Weather Forecast. RT mileage: 110 miles.
