Sept. 5: Grouse Gap to Siskiyou Peak RT
TH: Leave I-5 at exit 6 and take Mt. Ashland Hwy. to ski area, then drive another 2 miles on FS 20 to PCT at Grouse Gap. EDT: 45 min
Description: follow PCT 2.7 miles to Siskiyou Peak for lunch; return the same way.

September 12: Union Creek Falls Trail RT (p.94 in 100 Hikes) - leave at 8:30 AM
TH: Take Hwy. 62 east from Medford to Union Creek; trail starts behind the cabins in Union Creek Resort (on the other side of the road from Becky’s). EDT: 90 min.
Description: This is a scenic, generally level trail along a lovely brook.
Distance: 8.4 miles; elevation gain: 630 ft. Weather forecast. RT driving mileage: 150 miles.
September 19: PCT from Porcupine Gap to Baldy Creek TH RT
TH: Leave I-5 at exit 6 and follow Hwy 99 to Pilot Rock Rd; drive 2 miles along Pilot Rock Rd, take the left fork at the old quarry and continue to its end at Porcupine Gap; EDT: 45 min
Description: Follow the PCT northeast to a nice lunch spot just short of the Baldy Creek TH. Nice views towards Mt Shasta. Weather forecast.
Distance: 7 miles; elev gain:1,200 feet
September 26: Sky Lakes via Cold Springs (p. 124 in 100 Hikes) - leave 8:30 AM
TH: take DIM to its end point at Hwy 140; turn right to milepost 41; turn left onto FS 3651 and follow it 10.1 miles to Cold Springs TH. EDT: 90 min.
Description: woodland loop through multiple lakes in the Sky Lakes wilderness area; good chance for a swim in one of the lakes.
