November 7: Takelma Gorge (Upper Rogue Trail) RT (p.90 in 101 Hikes leave at 8:30
TH: Drive Hwy. 62 to Woodruff Bridge. EDT: 90 min.
Description: walk along the Rogue River thru Takelma Gorge from Woodruff Bridge to the Rogue Baptist camp; return the same way; trail is rough in places due to lava rocks. A hiking stick is very useful on a very steep short stretch of trail. This is a good time and place to look for chanterelles.

November 14: Hal’s Point (Applegate Lake) RT (p. 157 in 100 Hikes)
TH: Take Hwy. 238 from Jacksonville to Ruch (8 miles); take Upper Applegate Rd. 15 miles to Applegate Dam; drive left across dam to Dagelma TH: (2.5 mi.); EDT: 60 min.
Description: Take Osprey trail to Payette trail and continue along the lake shore to Hal’s Point for lunch; return the same way.

November 21: Lost Creek Lake (west shore) RT (p. 88 in 100 Hikes)
TH: Take Hwy. 62 to Lost Creek Lake; just before the dam, turn left onto Takelma Rd. at “Fish Hatchery” sign; drive to end of paved road and continue on gravel road to Takelma Park Rd. (about 1 mile past the turnoff to the boat ramp); EDT: 75 min.
Description: Drop down to the Lost Creek Lake trail, turn left, and follow it to our usual lunch bench; return the same way.

November 28: Bear Creek Greenway from Ashland Dog Park to Talent
TH: Safeway parking lot; EDT: zero;
Description: Starting out at Safeway, take city streets to Ashland Dog Park, then follow Bear Creek Greenway to Talent (Valley View Rd.); after eating lunch in Talent, take the RVTD bus back to Ashland (buses leave Talent at 18 and 48 min. after the hour; cost for seniors: $1, more for regular folk.
