January 5: Ostrich Peak Loop
TH: park at gate about 100 yards up Hitt Road, off Strawberry Lane
Description: Full loop going counterclockwise around Ostrich Peak; exact route varies from year to year; snow is possible on higher sections of trail. Distance: 8 mi RT; total elev. gain: 2250 feet.  RT mileage: 3 mi

January 12: Buck Prairie Snowshoe Trip
TH: Take DIM about 18 mi to the Buck Prairie Snow Park; Snow Park Permit Required. EDT: 30 min; Description: follow Natasha's Web for 2.7 miles to it's junction with Rocky's Flight.  Complete the loop via Bullwinkle's Run and Peabody's Wayback. Distance: 5.5 miles; elev. gain: 750 feet. RT mileage: 40 miles

January 19: Viewpoint Mike (Lost Creek Lake)
TH: From Medford drive Hwy 62 past the turn off to the Lost Creek Lake fish hatchery and take next right into TH parking area; EDT: 60 min; Description: very nicely laid out trail parallels Hwy 62 as it climbs through varied terrain to a large rock outcrop with good views of the surrounding area. Lunch at the overlook then proceed past the borrow pit and down to the Lost Creek Lake East Shore trail for the return.  Distance: 7 mi RT; elev gain: 1,600 ft. RT mileage: 100 mi.

January 26: Roxy Ann Peak (Prescott Park, Medford) TH: Take Phoenix exit off I-5, turn right at light, then make first left onto North Phoenix Road.  After 2.3 miles go right on Cherry Lane for 2.3 miles to Hillcrest Road.  Right on Hillcrest 0.2 miles then left on Roxy Ann Road 0.4 mile to gate. Walk past the gate until you reach the TH on the right hand side of the road; EDT: 20 min; Description: Loop hike summiting Roxy Ann in Medford with very nice views in all directions. This is a relatively short hike so let's plan to have lunch in a restaurant of the group's choosing after an early hike finish.  Distance: 4 mi; elev gain: 1000 ft. RT mileage: 30 mi
