Sterling Mine Ditch CCW From Armstrong Gulch 4-2-18

Photos by Bob

A large contingent in 5 vehicles managed to find the trailhead despite questionable directions, of which I was soon made aware. We headed up the trail to the Mine Ditch on a beautiful morning and I decided to turn right instead of left since several of us had done it in the other direction with the Wednesday Group. We did the usual 3.5 miles and found a good lunch spot with big views.

Roseanne, recently returned from New Zealand where she scaled the heights here there and everywhere, and Nanci, part of our Dolomite special forces unit, earned extra credit by doing another half hour while the rest of us ate lunch. This will entitle them to first choice of seats the next time at Boomtown, a distinction of somewhat questionable value.

A very nice day and some of us retired to Boomtown where Liz regaled us with Latin flower nomenclatures.
