It was a chilly morning when 7 of us met at the Jacksonville Library to begin our hike in the Jacksonville Woodlands. We crossed Highway 238 and started up the steps to Britt.
We hiked up to Panorama point and could see the snow covered Mount McLoughlin right behind Roxy Ann Peak that also had some snow. We made our way along the trails and hiked on Liz's Loop where you can choose a guaranteed burn or an optional hurl. We opted to go counterclockwise and no one hurled. We found a sunny spot and ate our lunch.
As we headed back down, we saw an abandoned car and decided to explore and make guesses as to what it was. Dan noticed it in the photos and emailed me he thought it could be a 1954 or 55 Nash Statesman.
We had a short day and arrived back at our cars around 1:00 P.M.
