Jacksonville Trail System 4-25-14

Turned out to be a nice day with occasional sprinkles but none that attained the status of a shower.

The trail along the creek was closed due to construction on the Britt Festival grounds, so we drove to the other side of Britt and parked at the top of Fir Street. The trail on the ridge above the creek was less noisy than the lower one close to Highway 238 and soon reconnected us with the usual route. Overall mileage was unchanged. However, the final slog up Fir St to get back to our vehicles was disheartening.

We had refreshments at the Pony Espresso on Highway 238 heading towards Medford. Great food, good coffee, nice atmosphere, and Caldera IPA was available for those who might need it. We'll be back.
