Jacksonville Woodlands 3-28-16

Weather was quite cool in Jacksonville both at the beginning and end of the hike.  The higher we climbed into the hills, the warmer it became.  No rain or wind plus generally sunny skies made for a pleasant hike overall.

Lots of flowers in bloom and lots of poison oak leafing out.  Contrary to expectations, the entire trail was reasonably dry without any puddles or muddy stretches.

It turned out that three of the six participants had not read thru to the end of the long-winded hike description and had brought their lunch along. Curiously enough they had all come in the same vehicle, so they ended up eating lunch together in Doc Griffin Park.  The other three ate theirs at the Jacksonville Coffee shop.
