Bear Creek Greenway - Medford to Central Point 3-6-17

Photos by Bob

Six intrepid hikers braved the morning snow to complete the Monday's group 30 mile assault on the Bear Creek Greenway. We started at Hawthrone Park in Medford and followed the mighty Bear Creek up to Central Point. Five miles through the rain did not stop our hikers, nor the homeless residents of the Greenway, nor two police cruisers driven by Central Point's finest.

Onward we trudged down Pine St with the promise of excellent cheese around the corner at the Rogue Creamery. We all sampled and some bought fine cheese. Then we marched back down Front St to brave the many temptations at Lillie Belle's Chocolates. Again all sampled and some bought.

Then we hiked back up Pine St for lunch at The Point Pub & Grill. A round of imbibing plus a hot lunch for all made us smile for our group picture in the mirror at the Pub. The RVTD returned us to Medford where we completed our 8 mile circuit back to our vehicles.
