Ashland Hiking Home

Today we started at the Lower Red Queen trail with 12 hikers. The temperature was around 37o which made the steep uphill easier to hike. After a short time we joined up with Hank and continued up the Red Queen trail. Along the way, we ran into his son Scott.

We then continued up to the Lewis Loop-Gyre trail. It was quite windy so we decided to skip the overlook and head back down the Caterpillar Trail to Alice in Wonderland. We then cut across to the Red Queen trail and made it back to our cars around 12:45 before the rain started.
