Lithia Park Loop 12-12-16

Photos by Bob and Rich

Ashland Creek roared as sixteen hikers set out Monday for a complete tour of Lithia Park. From the entrance to the wild area up past the swimming reservoir we covered 4 miles of trail. Along the way we viewed the duck pond, Italian fountain, sycamore grove, enders shelter, and the band shell. Carol, our birder, pointed out a pair of Buffel Head ducks. Many of our hikers were happy to discover the beauty of Lithia. Named one of America's 10 best public spaces.

After the hike we enjoyed lunch at the Brickroom.
