Ashland City Loop 12-17-18

Photos by Bob

This hikes starts before the trailhead as you have to park down the hill and make your way up. The hike isn't long but there is ample vertical, including the dreaded Red Queen. The sun came out and 22 hikers appeared, either in a fit of physical energy, or knowing we would end up at Louie's.

Dan Dawson did a fine job of leading us up to the heights and overcame the usual problem of setting a pace that made sense for 22 people. The way down along the creek presented photo ops and there was some new statuary here and there.

Louie's did a fine job of revving up the kitchen and serving our mob. The Ashland Amber was chilled just right and when the fires came Liz shared the malt vinegar I gave her for Christmas. I believe she even shared extra fries.
