Ashland Hiking Home

There were 8 hikers who decided to take an easy hike through Lithia Park. We met at the Plaza and started our way by the lower Duck Pond. From there, we went by the playground and the wading pool in Ashland Creek. We continued on past the Ashland Parks and Recreation building. We also went by the water tank and the reservoir. From there we went up Granite Street and then onto the Snark Trail. We then headed back down.

When we were back by the water tank, we could smell something chemical. After thinking about it, we assumed someone had just tagged it with spray paint to make graffiti. From there we headed down to the Japanese Garden and enjoyed the different trees, plants, statues and the zen garden. From there, we headed to the restaurant called Skout where Liz's husband George joined us for food. We put in 4.5 miles for the day.
