On Wednesday we had 13 hikers come out to hike in Lithia Park. It was 46° and sunny. We started near the plaza and passed Meyer Memorial Lake. We then made our way past the playground and up to S. Pioneer Street.
We then made our way up a trail that runs below Fork Street and Glenview Drive. We followed that and then went down to the Granite Street Reservoir and around the Lower Reservoir. We then went back to the Granite street Reservoir and hiked along Ashland Creek.
We made our way to Black Swan lake and took our group photo. We then continued along Ashland Creek again and then crossed Winburn Way and made our way to the Japanese Garden. The garden is a wonderful feature of the park.
After we made our way through the Japanese Garden, we went back to North Main Street where we had started. We had hiked just under 4 miles with 633 feet of gain. After the hike, 7 of us went back to the plaza and had brunch at The Brickroom.
