Lower Rogue 4-29-22

Photos by Kay

Seven of us, including three new hikers, ventured out last Friday to the Lower Rogue in search of wildflowers, and we were not disappointed!   Lots of new ones to keep us busy - thank heaven Collette, Patricia and Kay were there to tease out identities.  Great discussions abounded.  With the recent rains and snows the heretofore first dry creek crossing was once again spurting away so we had to make our way down and around on the way out, but were able to gingerly cross against the cliff on the way back.

We were so consumed with wildflower identification that we hiked a whopping 1.7 miles round trip. With over 50 species identified, that's a lot of flowers per yard.
