Summit Sno-Park Snowshoe 12-26-12

Photos and Tracks by Ron, Keeley and Dan

We decided to head up via Medford rather than DIM to minimize our driving time on snow packed roads even though it adds about 10 miles round trip to the drive. Turned out to be a good decision; only had snow for the final 3 or 4 miles on the way up and 7 or so miles on the return.

Temperatures in the high 20s with about 1" of snow accumulation during the hike. Breaking trail was a challenge with a foot or so of soft snow on top of a packed base.

Stooped at Four Daughters on the way back to rehydrate.
