We started snowshoeing under an overcast sky and weather in the high 20’s. We followed a snowmobile track for the first two miles to the campground, but after that it was trail breaking for the next several miles, including a snow whacking (similar to bush whacking) on a shortcut that Dan had proposed.
Lunch was taken on the Daley Creek Diversion Dam / Siphon. Gary decided he did not want to snowshoe around the dam, so he scaled the concrete unit - in his snowshoes. What a sight. We met several other Nordic adventurer’s on our final leg out to the car.
Refreshments were taken at the Wild Goose Cafe.
