Bull Gap Lollipop 3-14-18

The ski road was plowed and sanded although the parking area at the TH had 3" to 6" of chunky snow. Temperatures were right around freezing all morning with a light snow giving way to blue skies and sunshine for the last half hour of our loop.

We shared the trail with a dog walker in boots and two dogs for the first mile or so and then had first tracks for the rest of the Lollipop. In areas where there had been sun exposure we had 2" of soft powder on top of what the ski area would call packed powder (AKA hard pack). In the shaded areas we had 18" to 2' of soft snow.

We were down to Caldera for lunch by 12:30.
