Upper Rogue - Union Creek to Natural Bridge 5-23-16

The Prospect Ranger station told us that there was a lot of blowdown on the Union Creek Falls trail, so we hiked along the Rogue River trail from Union Creek to Natural Bridge and back.

The weather forecast promised us a 70% chance of showers, but all we got was a short sprinkle as we approached our vehicles in the Union Creek campground parking lot upon our return.

Lots of dogwood trees in bloom, several patches of Calypso orchids, and quite a lot of other flowers.  The Rogue was flowing strongly, and the main lava tube at Natural Bridge had water flowing over it as well as thru it.

We stopped for refreshments at the Fly Fishing Shop in Shady Cove.  Beer was available, but we settled for coffee and one milkshake.
