Union Creek to Natural Bridge and Loop Back 10-11-19

Photos by Daniel C.

Eight of us enjoyed the brilliant fall colors along the Upper Rogue River trail, and of course always the spectacular journey of the river at Natural Bridge. Lucy and Joan collected a bag each of editable mushrooms with plans to enjoy on pizza. Yes, they’ll research each variety before eating them, to be sure they are edible.

Beautiful blue sky all day and temperatures ranged from very cold in the morning to warm in the afternoon. A classic southern Oregon fall day.  Half of us capped the day by a visit to Becky’s for our slices of pie. Our title for our group photo is: “How many hikers can you get on the head of a stump?” We’re all grateful to Daniel for becoming our diligent photographer!
