Upper Rogue - Rogue Gorge to the Bridge to Nowhere 10-18-21

Photos by Sunny

This hike was originally to turn around at Natural Bridge but we spent so much time taking pictures that we cut it short. It was simply the best fall foliage we had ever seen, particularly between Rogue Gorge and Union Creek. In fact I am returning today to show it off to Diane, my much better half. Mike Letourneau rated the hike a 30 out of 10.

The colors, particularly deep reds, started at the shore line and often rose hundreds of feet through the 200 foot + trees on the other side. An additional plus was seeing the Gorge and the falls at the Bridge to Nowhere. A 5 mile return trip.

To cap it off, Phil's frosty now carries salted caramel ice cream. The day called for a glass of wine at Kerr Manor to celebrate.
