Ashland Hiking Home
On Wednesday we had 9 hikers come out to hike along the upper Rogue River to see the beautiful fall colors as most of the leaves had changed. We saw yellow, salmon, orange and red.
We started at Woodruff Bridge and went upriver. The trail is in good shape and well maintained so we kept a good pace. We made a few stops for wardrobe changes and photos. We also had a couple of mushrooms we tried to identify.
We crossed the bridge and went over and viewed the Natural Bridge. The flow of the river was higher than the last time we hiked the area. We continued on and found a spot in the sun beside the river for lunch. After lunch, we returned to our cars by 2:10pm.
We had hiked 7.29 miles and gained about 300 feet of elevation. We stopped at Phil's Frosty in Shady cove for some ice cream.
