Union Creek 5-6-15

We had a wonderful hike. As we started out with rather cool temperatures there were some clouds in the skies. Although there were quite a few new downed trees on the trail which had trees that fell on the path in the direction of the path, we managed to get through ok. When we arrived at the falls, which had water all the way across this time, as we finally settled in for lunch, the skies opened for a mostly sunny Annie lunch. Some naps were even observed.

A decision was made to take the Old Growth trail back with the intent of avoiding some of the new downed trees proved to have a few additional deadfall as well, but not as intense as on the first part of the trail going out.

Refreshments were enjoyed at the Rogue River Lodge. As usual beer and fried foods were wonderful and the hike leader earned a B.
