Donomore Meadow to Dutchman Peak 8-3-16

Photos by Dan, Keeley and Jim

Four hikers started out the day in 67 degree weather with clear skies. As we headed up the path, our far away lunch point (the lookout tower on Dutchman’s Peak) came into view.

There were many wild flowers in bloom and we passed 11 PCT hikers on our trip, (some actually passed us). One young man had shin splints and was trying to make it to Ashland. We offered him a ride, but he declined.

The lunch spot had shade, a chair and great views of just about everything.  There was some smoke, but still great views. Refreshments were had a Boomtown.
