We escaped the fog of Ashland and had a beautiful day of sun on Big Red Mountain. The trail had some minor deadfall but none that would be a problem. There were a few small patches of snow up on the hillsides. The fog was far below us.
By the time we had our lunch at the summit it was shirt sleeve weather in brilliant sun. We relaxed for a while and savored Carol's brownies.
After the hike, most of us retired to the Pumphouse in Talent for drinks and fries.
