Green Springs Summit to Hobart Bluff 5-2-18

The weather was perfect for a nice local hike to Hobart Bluff from the Greensprings Summit.  Fourteen of us headed up the trail to Hobart Bluff, looking for flowers and enjoying being outside.  The temperatures were in the high 50’s most of the time, but felt like the low 70’s at times in the sun and with no breeze.  The flower experts found some flowers but the fields of flowers were not yet present.  Lunch was taken on top of the bluff, overlooking the Rogue Valley, with views of Mt. Shasta, Pilot Rock, Mt. Ashland and Mt. McLoughlin.  It was a spectacular day.

Refreshments were taken on the deck of the Greensprings Inn.  Although the service was a bit slow, being outside on the deck in good weather made the wait just fine.
