Wagner Butte 8-9-17

A group of 10 began our hike in 70 degree weather, along with some smoke in the valleys.  However, we could not smell the smoke, even though it limited our vistas.  This hike goes up for most of the trail, so it is one of the more difficult hikes in our portfolio.  We had some flowers, but most had reached their end of brilliance.

All made it to the top and a leisurely lunch was taken before heading back down to the cars.  Our views were restricted because of the smoke, but we could clearly see Dutchman’s Peak where many of us were last week.

Refreshments were taken at Caldera.
