As usual this time of year, heavy fog around the Rogue burned off and we had a beautiful day. We started out in the cold and had to remove several layers as it warmed up. The trails on the mesa were in good shape, without much water.

Most of us had not been there for a long time so it brought back memories. The views from the lunch spot were excellent.

We found our way easily enough but had to work on it on the way back. The fences near the starting point aren't visible until you get close. For hike leaders: There is a line of trees well before the trail down, but look for two very tall trees further on. That is the trail.

Most of us enjoyed wine and cheese afterwards.
