Stein Butte 11-19-14

It was 55oF and sunny when we arrived at the TH and we had sun for most of the morning except for a bit of spitting rain right before lunch.  During lunch the sun came out again and gave us a nice double rainbow although it was quite windy and probably in the low 40s on top.

We had some drizzle on the way down, but the wind died down and the temperature climbed back up as we descended. The big leaf maples provided nice color in the woods.

No bear encounters today but we did see lots of old bear scat (i.e. the scat was not fresh - we really don't know anything about the age of the bears) along the rocky ridge.

Refreshments were taken at Four Daughters.
