Roxy Ann 10-25-19

Photos by Daniel C. and Valerie

Six of us had a lovely hike in beautiful weather up, down, and around Roxy Ann (Prescott Park). We parked outside the second gate and started the hike on Greenhorn Trail close to the second gate on the right. When we got to the road we went left down the road catching the beginning of the Manzanita Trail on the right. We took the Manzanita Trail all the way up the hill to the road and then followed the road up to the tower.

Coming back down the road from the tower we took the Power Line or Pondarosa Trail through the rocky top (for a little challenge and adventure) to the picnic table. After snacking on apples, nuts, a few brave souls tried Annie’s possibly hot and spicy chocolate by Lilly. Annie and Daniel confirmed it was hot and the rest of us ate the usual dark chocolate with tart raspberries.

We continued on the back side of the hill for a view of White City, catching the Madrone Trail and the road back to our cars. This large, old Madrone Tree provided a perfect photo opportunity for the group!

Respectfully, Judy
