Heading uphill under overcast skies was definitely shirtsleeve weather this morning. The mid 50s hazy sun weather held through lunch but as we started down from the summit the wind picked up and we had an hour or so of sprinkles in the afternoon.
The trail was in good shape except for some dead fall on the NW section below Ashland Mine road. A Lomakatsi crew was busy doing fuel reduction on both sides of the trail just above the trailhead but paused to let us pass.
Our Assistant (nee Adjunct) Social Director Gary took us to the Granite Taphouse where we enjoyed their happy hour with excellent service.
