On Wednesday we had 6 hikers come out to Hike Grizzly Peak and Lost Falls. Maria signed us in at the trailhead. It was already over 70° so we knew it would be a warm
We started up the trail seeing many wildflowers. When we got to the junction, we went to the right. Shory after, we came to the summit pile of rocks and some of us went up for a group photo.
We continued around and then took a short break at a rock overlook. We were trying to identify various bodies of water and mountain tops.
As we continued along, we ran into another group of hikers going the other direction. We chatted for a bit since we knew a couple of them from hiking with our group in the past.
We got to the rock overlook where you can see Shasta and had a snack. After that, we finished the loop and went back down to our cars.
We then headed to Lost Falls. It is a short 1 mile hike to get there. There were some easy stream crossings and maneuvering through some downfall.
We arrived to a nice amount of water flow and enjoyed our lunch.
When taking our group shot, I wasn't quite able to get set before the timer went off. Fortunately a couple of hikers came by and took our photo. We then hiked back to our cars. I am guessing our mileage was 7ish miles. The GPS isn't connecting on my watch and the numbers are way off.
