It was overcast when we started, but changed to partly sunny in the middle of the day, and then to mostly cloudy in the afternoon.
We did the hike from south to north. Tuesday's flash blizzard had left a few patches of snow on the ground as we started up. As we shifted over to the west side at the ridge we found 2" to 3" of snow covering the trail down to about 3,000'.
Highlight of the day was coming across fresh mountain lion tracks on the ridge. The cat was following the ridge trail, fortunately ahead of us. However, at one point, we, and the mountain lion, picked up small size bear tracks. They went along the ridge together for a bit and then veered off. We did not investigate further.
Refreshment was taken at the Country Club.
