We headed to Lost Creek Lake today because snow conditions were not favorable for our originally scheduled Hyatt Lake snowshoe.
Temperatures were in the 60s under overcast skies for most of the hike. We had lunch sitting on logs at lakeside. The sun came out after lunch and the temperature climbed into the low 70s.
Poison Oak seemed to be under control on the trails, but the bushwhack segment down the hill is now very thick with it.
It was quite pleasant sitting in full sun by the river at the Rogue River Lodge enjoying our apres hike fries and beer.
Groundhog Day 2/2/13: No shadow for Punxsutawney Phil, so spring is just around the corner.
