Applegate Lake Loop 3-8-17

Photos by Jim and Keeley

We started our day under cloudy skies and 48 degree weather, but no rain. Given the weather forecast, it turned out to be a perfect day for a hike.

Part of the group took a separate path to test out a potential cable assisted climb addition to the hike, which turned out to be a interesting variation to the hike. We all met at Hal’s point for an extended lunch.

It was interesting to note that the reservoir was not nearly as full as we expected. We concluded the additional storage space was for the anticipated spring runoff.

Refreshments were taken at the Boomtown Cafe.
