Applegate Lake - Dagelma Trailhead to Panther Point 11-9-15

A compact group of four people braved the elements for the hike along the shores of Applegate Lake.  We started at the Dagelma trailhead and continued some 4 miles to Panther Point wich had a very convenient log to sit on for lunch.  There was a barely perceptible drizzle on the way in, but just before lunch the clouds broke and the sun came through.  The only rain we had after that was a brief downpour as we approached Jacksonville on our way for refreshments at Boomtown.

Applegate Lake (at least where we hiked) was divided into two sections, one apparently being filled by the strongly-flowing Squaw Creek, the other probably by the Applegate River.  In between there was an extensive area free of standing water.
